Are you starting a new business?

Is your business struggling and you need help in moving forward?

Do you have business questions?

If any of these apply to you, Raleigh SCORE can help!!!

SCORE’s mission, which hasn’t changed over the years, is to provide assistance and support to the small business community to enhance their probability of long term success.  It’s a national, non-profit service organization. The Raleigh SCORE chapter is one of nearly 400 chapters nationwide.

Originally an acronym for “Service Corps of Retired Executives,” SCORE’s more descriptive tag line is now “SCORE-For the Life of Your Business”.

Our local SCORE team of 50 experienced volunteer counselors, provide free, confidential, face-to-face and e-counseling to over 1500 Triangle entrepreneurs each year. The counseling is aimed at both business start-ups and existing businesses. Clients may use our services as many times as necessary, without a charge or obligation of any kind. Our counselors have experience in such diverse fields as: manufacturing, accounting, banking, retailing, franchising, information technology, export/import, new product development, sales, marketing, advertising, public relations and financial management.

SCORE counselors can provide all types of entrepreneurial assistance in topics such as: business legal structure, licensing, loans, franchising, cash flow analysis, marketing techniques and developing business plans. All discussions are tailored to meet the needs of every client.

SCORE’s main office is located in downtown Raleigh. We also have satellite offices in Morrisville, North Raleigh, Cary and Wake Forest and conduct counseling sessions both in the morning and afternoon to meet our clients’ needs.

In addition to counseling services, Raleigh SCORE has partnered with local Chambers of Commerce, Wake Tech and the Wake County Library system to provide free and low cost workshops on business related topics. They can, upon request, also provide speakers on business subjects to other organizations around the Triangle.

SCORE maintains two highly informative websites- one for the National Organization (www.score.org) and one for Raleigh SCORE (http://raleigh.score.org). The national website has dozens of articles, templates and webinars designed to assist the small business owner. The local website lists local news, events and workshops and provides an avenue to request an appointment or to submit your name for consideration as a SCORE Volunteer.

Raleigh SCORE can also be reached by phone at 919-856-4739 from 9AM to 12PM weekdays.

So, if you need help starting or growing your business, give us a call and schedule an appointment. We’re anxious to discuss your small business challenges with you.
