Do you need a website for your business but don’t have the budget to shell out thousands of dollars to hire a professional website designer?
Today, I’m going to share with you how you can get a professional looking website for your small business, regardless of your budget.
Based on my experience with marketing online, my favorite website building tool is WordPress.
Here are 2 reasons why I think WordPress is the best solution for you, if you need a website for your business but don’t have the budget to hire a website designer.
First of all, it’s free…and anyone can use it to quickly and easily create a professional-looking business website.
You can choose from 2 variations of WordPress, depending on your needs and your level of comfort with technology.
Do you want to get your website up and running quickly and easily? Then, I suggest you use the option that’s hosted at WordPress.com.
Because when you do, you’ll get reliable free hosting, lots of free media space for your images and videos, no software upgrades to deal with and hundreds of free website templates to choose from…Plus, technical support that’s available when you need it.
And, guess what? The Raleigh SCORE blog is hosted at WordPress.com…it looks fantastic, right?
The other option is a self-hosted variation of WordPress, which is still free to use, but requires a small investment for a domain name and web hosting.
You may want to consider the self-hosted option if you want to have an ecommerce component to your website, or if you think you may want more flexibility for customization of your website.
Regardless of which WordPress option you choose, or if you decide to hire a website designer, there are some items you must get together before you build a website for your business.
So, I’ve put together a Tip Sheet for you called the “Top 8 Items You’ll Need Before You Build A Business Website.”
